The “Kochlöffel” and “Backmischung”

This year, instead of the usual trinkets, we chose gifts that stir up memories, foster creativity, and fill homes with the delicious aroma of holiday baking.

The “Backmischung”

Baking is one of the sweetest traditions of the holiday season. Whether it’s grandma’s secret cookie recipe or a new experiment, there’s nothing like the joy of mixing, baking, and tasting your very own creations. This mixture is our way of inviting you to create new memories and perhaps start a new tradition.

Recipe for the “Backmischung”

Recipe instructions

Ingredients: 500g baking mix
250g margarine, alternative butter
60ml water, alternative 1 egg

Preparation:
1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap or baking paper and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
3. Put the cooled off dough on a floured surface and roll out to about 3mm thickness and cut out as desired.
4. Place cut-out cookies on a baking tray with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 170 C top and bottom heat for 8-12 minutes.

Give your cookies a special touch:
Lemon Variation: Add the shredded peel of half a lemon or a lime to the basic ingredients.

Vanilla: Add a pitch of vanilla to the basic ingredients.

Glaze: Mix 50 g powdered sugar with the juice of one lemon and spread the glaze on the cookies while they are still slightly warm.
